We are proud that Dr. Coggins received his gastroenterology training at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. Dr. Sisk trained in gastroenterology and liver disease at Brooke Army Medical Center and the University of Texas - San Antonio. We are located within 45 miles of Columbus, Newnan, Peachtree City/Fayetteville and Carrollton, Georgia and Auburn, Alabama.
Gastroenterologists treat diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, gall bladder, liver and pancreas, such as:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux, Heartburn (GERD)
- Colon Polyps
- Colon Cancer
- Peptic Ulcer Disease
- Inflammatory conditions of the intestinal tract such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis
- Swallowing Disorders

- Rectal Bleeding.
Drs. Coggins and Sisk have completed three years of speciality training in gastroenterology. Gastroenterology fellowships are only undertaken after four years of medical school and three years of internal medicine residency. This training qualifies them to perform specialized diagnostic procedures including:
- Upper Endoscopy
- Capsule Endoscopy (Pill Cam)
Dr. Coggins opened the practice in LaGrange, Georgia in 1991. Dr. Sisk joined the practice in the spring of 2010. Outpatient procedures are performed at the Emory Surgery Center, an ambulatory surgery facility, and at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, both in LaGrange, Georgia. Inpatient care is provided at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center where Drs. Coggins and Sisk serve on staff.
